Deep tissue massage is a deep, firm, and hard massage which applies increased pressure at treatment progresses, it is best suited for athletes, runners, and people with serious injuries.
This type of modality facilitates healing by releasing contracted muscle and tissue. It can help increase blood flow and reduce inflammation.

The pressure can be painful sometimes. It is used for treating sports injuries, soreness from poor posture, and chronic spasms. It also helps with chronic muscular pain, injury rehabilitation, and reduces inflammation-related pain.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE TECHNIQUES

Deep tissue massages begin as a traditional relaxing massage and after the muscles are warmed up, the massage therapist will begin to apply more pressure with palms, fingertips, knuckles, forearms, or elbows for more effective results.
A fair amount of soreness in the following days is expected after your treatment, treating the affected areas with ice, heat, and stretching is recommended.
