    • Posture when standing: Stand against the wall, then walk forward, that should be your posture.
    • Posture when sitting: Use a seat with good back support and arm rests.
    • Lifting: When lifting, use your legs rather than your back.
    • Do not lift and twist at the same time
    • Moving things: It is better to push heavy items across the floor with your leg, rather than pull them.
    • Shoes: Wear less heals and more flat shoes. (at least not for prolonged period of time)
    • Driving: Make sure you are sitting comfortably so there is no need to constantly twist, reach for pedals etc. If you are driving far, make sure to have plenty of breaks, get out and walk around.
    • Bed: Have a good mattress that keeps your spine straight and your body feels rested when you wake up.
